How would you spend 200$ for Backlinks?

If you have a budget of 200$ for SEM to build a variety of back links to your main site, how and where do you spend it?

3 years ago everything was easy, but at this moment I am struggling to find anything worth spending my money on. I tried on odesk / elance, even fiverr. But all looks the same and rubbish. I want to outsource the whole process, so not building links or a PBN myself.

Any advice?

Do you know a good freelancer at odesk/freelancer/elance or a good afforable SEO service? Or a Warrior?

    I haven't purchased backlinking services from Elance, but I am sure that you can find services there for a very affordable price.

    Also, I would rather spend that money towards paid advertising. Chances are, you will find a very affordable service on Elance, and you won't need to spend that much for backlinks anyways.

    Plus, I have always had great results with only having a .edu or a .gov backlink from an article to my blog. Maybe outsource for articles written as well?

    If that's all you have I personally would build some high quality web 2.0's and blast the **** out of them. You don't have enough to rent links month after month, so you need something permanent. All depends on how aggressive you wanna be.

      You would probably get the best/long term results from buying domains at a site like expireddomains.net and setting them up at separate hostings.

      A domain there costs just the normal registration fee, obvious you would need some money for hosting and content as well, unless you plan to write the content yourself.

    I would never spend that much money on backlinking. EVER! I would create a high authority link web myself, since they stick.

        Just looking at receipts. It seems I spent $294.40 on lunches last week.

        If it's $200 a month I'm sure you could find a dozen or so SEO offers in the "For Hire" section. Just don't expect anything with quality or longevity.

    Yes you can find an SEO person easily on odesk to get you backlinks but I don't they would be that high quality. .Edu backlinks are your best bet

    That's gonna be tough if that's a one-time fee, you won't find good quality links for that as even permanent high PR links cost a pretty penny.

    I'd try and find a budget private link network, but then again you get what you pay for.

    I would try to get several niche or micro niche blogs on the most popular blogging platforms, like Wordpress, Blogspot, Tumblr, etc (and each post/article to be shared on high PR social networks: Twitter, Google+, Stumbleupon, etc).

    Post that kind of job on Elance or Freelance (on micro job websites is less probable to get that project manually done).

    Thanks for the answers. I currently only have one other website which has a domain authority of just 21, but it is hosted on the same IP, so I haven't linked back.

    Budget: same question would it change if I spend 400 or 600$?

    Are edu/gov backlinks still working great?

    If I would have that money to spend on my site I would not care about SEO anymore. Because I can easily get a lot of traffic from there and would earn more than I spend.
    Anyway, if you want to spend that money I would say get into the yahoo directory. Because not many sites are there and thus, it passed really great authority and PR juice.

    Elance is a great place for both clients and freelancers. I have been in elance for few years and I use them to find work as well as outsource some of my own projects. It is all about how specific you are about your requirements. Once you get the bids you need to anlayse the current feedbacks of that freelancers, his skills and the kind of package offered by the bidder for your project. Don't be overwhelmed by the low budget proposals which are often quoted by newbies who want to learn at your expense.

    Build a PBN, thats a money well spent if you want to go with a safe route.

    You can also rent high PR links (SAPE or no SAPE) but not to your money site. Its too risky that way.

      I found an expired domain for a keyword I want to rank for on my ecommerce site. I can then buy that expired domain, build up a page that ranks high for that specific keyword, and use that juice to pump up my ecommerce site with links?

    You won't get anything of value for $200 if you are going to spend it on backlinks

    instead think what can piece of valuable information you can offer your visitors and try to create the best version of that information you can with the $200

      I came across a site that will build backlinks for a very small fee. It might be worth checking out SocialMonkee.

      You wouldn't have to spend much money or time to get it going. If it doesn't end up being what you are looking for, you wouldn't have used much of your budget and could look elsewhere.

    Building PBN is a pricey and time consuming and you still can`t avoid the risk of penalization after some priod of time.

    In my opinion the best you can do is to build your own blog network based on free web 2.0 (the best ones of course - high trust rank/PR) they cost you 1/10 or less this what you shoudl invest in PBN but efficiency of this solution is similiar.

    You can hire someone to it for you, but it is not easy to find someone who can build good back links, so look for someone with reputation. Although $200 is not much really.

    I'm not going to say things that have been repeated, but one thing I want to say is, when will people ever learn that if they want to earn money in SEO they have to do it the right way with costs not being a factor at all(to a point obviously).

    One must look at their potential revenue from acheiving the goal and devise whether you think realisticly $200 is enough before you go spending it.
