Since the last 5-7 days, my Alexa rank has been constantly going down. It was around 61K and now has dropped to 121K much to my dismay. However, the global rank looks to have improved as well considerably. When the rank started going down, I was earning just a few cents from this site daily. But for the past 2-3 days, the earnings have come down to zero.
What's the effect and is there any way to curb the downfall of the rank? But more than the rank going down, the views have also dropped. Do I need to make any SEO changes? Please help me out.
PS: The site I am talking about is Gadget Garrio.

  • I would improve your website with Google PageSpeed. This tool is to give you a score of your code efficiency. Bad code equals bad user experience. This hurts your SEO values.
Next check your website with Google Webmaster tool for duplicate content and title tags.
Hopefully, these 2 tasks can improve things with Alexa.

You simply need to analyze your traffic source(s). Has anything changed? Were you promoting the site through a specific medium?

Alexa rank drop can occur if your visitors do not have the alexa toolbar installed. Recently, you may be receiving visitors without that toolbar installed that led to the drop (co-incidently?).

Many reasons to be discussed but only you can analyze and improve

abhibangal, first of all you should check webmaster tool to know the issues if there. Now check Google analytics or visitor counter that you use to know traffic source that dropped.

Without come through to main reason doing anything will not be good.

Never estimate a website with regards to Alexa rankings, its completely insane. It might be a co-incidence that your Alexa rankings went down and you lost your revenue. Alexa determines rankings based on the people that use their toolbar. So check what other factors might be affecting your website income.
