Hello Everyone
I set up a website a few months ago, the site wasn't on the first places on Google
Yesterday I searched on google the main keyword of the site (labrador training)
And I found myself at the third place on the first page!!
This is very surprised me and it was the happiest day of my life, to discover I was at the first page
Today I went again to see myself on the first page to get motivated
But then .. I'm not on the first page anymore!
Somehow I went down to the third page!!
Why did this happen??

The search-engine results you see, in your own browser, are dependent on your own browser-history.

Google understands that navigating the web and finding what you want is all about relevance, so it tries to be clever and show people the results it thinks they want to see.

Once your browser has "been to your site" a few times, Google thinks you like that site, and when you look at search-engine results, it shows you that site higher up than it shows it to other people.

In order to find out where other people are finding your site in the SERP's, you have to clear your browser-cookies (or use a new browser).

It depends on several other things as well (such as location), but I suspect that the main reason for what you've noticed is just to do with your browser(s). Maybe you didn't always use the same one? Or maybe you cleared your cookies? Anyway, don't assume that "where you see something" in Google's SERP's is necessarily "where anyone else sees it": you're not looking at an "objective reality", but at something intrinsically subjective and very variable. This is the "key concept" to appreciate.

More importantly, in the long run, you may want to become aware that search-engine traffic is extremely unlikely to be a major determinant of whether or not your business is actually successful, for all the reasons explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8659398

I totally agree to your opinion. Basically it will look that it is in the top 3 but you can check that the color of the link is a bit different. It is entirely because you visit your website more frequently than others. You can also see some others competitors website which you visit frequently in top 5 also.

Maybe was "google dance". Is a way that google trow up or downs sites for few hours or days.
Next time you want to see the actual position of your website try to make it in private browsing and there you don't care about cookies or browsing history.

    In Mozila: File>New private window.

and is pretty simple. you don;t need to clear cookie all the time.

Hmm! Well these should be due to number of back links which you had created for your site. Creating a back links for your site is not a problem, but applying too much back links can give a big impact to your site. Try to avoid those activities.

Did you click on your site for different search term prior to checking your rankings for your target keyword? If yes, that's the reason. Other possible reasons are:

    - Might be a Google dance
    - A temporary freshness boost
    - A penalty

    etc.
