What was the basic thing you did to learn SEO?
For me, i started reading seomoz.org and that is the most important factor how i learned SEO because it is really a great website categorized in each and every terms of SEO and even sub categorized for whatever you need.
I am still not much good in SEO but i learned a lot from seo moz and it's really a great website for newbies.
How do you guys learned SEO? Did someone taught you? Or you just read it on different websites or any specific one?
Thanks
Webmatic

Truth is, besides working for a company with a wealth of knowledge
around online marketing for 4 years straight, the other great mentors
and knowledgeable people were Aaron Wall's book, Matt Cutt's postings
    and probably Planet Ocean (searchenginenews.com).

For me it was mostly StomperNet. I got my hands on Stomping The Search Engines one about 2 years ago and that got me going. I still had a real basic understanding back then but I religiously followed all of the awesome free stuff that StomperNet gives out. Then I got Stomping The Search Engines 2 along with the Net Effect and that is where stuff really started to happen for me.

From that point on I have been able to get top rankings for most of my sites plus all of the content I post on other sites.

The guys at Stomper are awesome and I think everyone that wants to learn SEO should be following their stuff.

for me it was Aaron Wall's SEObook & Brad Callen from Stompernet that got me on track and then it was all testing and tweaking. Also sphinn.com is an excellent resource.

You can also search for "SEOhawk blog" on Google. This has got some few but very effective SEO articles.
