  • I use a main targeted keyword in the Title of article/post, ALT attribute, Title attribute, a few times in description and one time in tag (plus adding into the most relevant category). I never had troubles using the ALT image info in that strategy.
  • Google treats image alt tags as part of the content on your site, so the text you used as your alt tag counts as a keyword to Google and your site will show up in Google if you do a search for that keyword and if your site has enough backlinks.

Yes, image alt-text is the same as plain text on your webpage. You can prove that by looking at the Google Cache (text version), you'll see your image alt-text.

Google will also use image alt-text in the SERP description If you don't have an HTML meta-description tag on the page. Assuming the image alt-text is relevant to the search query.
  • Thank you, everyone. Thanks a ton !
