I got a PR of 4 in this update

Hi people, a blog of mine (which I was thinking of abandoning) rose from a PR 0 to a PR of 4 in this June update.

Does this really mean much? I had otherwise thought of abandoning the blog (since it didn't convert to a SINGLE sale) but now that it has a PR of 4, should I focus on it again?

Or sell it, maybe ? The site gets around 100 visitors a day, would a PR of 4 boost its value while flipping?

  • There will be some people who attach a value to PR and you could benefit from this if you try to flip now.

Most others will ignore PR and be focused on the real value of the site. What volume and type os visitors, how you can convert them to cash, what profit the site makes.

Sounds like a good time to try to sell it if you were going to abandon it anyway.
  • Some people will place a value on the PR4 and will help you sell it.

Also, you could sell links if you want to keep it and earn from it. People will pay a fair amount for PR4 backlinks.
  • I'm happy to hear about your big PR update. I have a template site and it was updated from 0 to 5 Great, huh?
I think the PR is only for you, it's a google award for your site. If you blogging for money you don't need PR, just good ideas...
And yes! You can sell links on it...
  • Congrats man, yours is even bigger, 0 to 5 - wow
  • PR of 4 doesn't mean 100 visitors a day.Yeah,it happened, i have a blog with only 3 post ranking PR5 from un rage PR. ps:not at my signature.
  • Well PR matters something but not everything. You should care for other things as well rather than just getting happy on PR. Well someone said you can sell links and that's right because mostly buyers look for high PR sites only
I myself got PR 3 from 0 for one of my new blog and i am happy but targetting much more after that because i don't want to disappoint google :p
    Thanks

    • My (wife's) free classic literature website has gone up to PR-6 this time, from PR-5.

Finally, we own an "authority" site!

Another relatively new site has gone up from PR-0 to PR-4, including the subpage that I am targeting here for a product sale - I mean both the home page and this sub page are now PR-4. Feel cool about it too.
