We use opensiteexplorer.org to explore competitors' backlinks.

Here are a few but I'm not sure if they will allow all backlinks to be viewed but it is a starting point for you.

Backlink checker would be convenient and easy am using rite now

There are many free backlink checker websites are available. But not single website will show you the full list of a website. So you just have to check backlinks from all available tools and merge the results to get the nearest results of full backlink list.

https://ahrefs.com/ is good site to do that. But you have to pay to get full functions. The free membership is ok also.

Only paid tools provides you better results about your and competitor's back links......

I've been using two sites/online tools to check my site's back links and my competitors' back links, they are OPEN site explorer (MOZ) and watchbacklink[dot]com. They are very useful for me. And for your own site, you can also use Google webmaster tools to check your site's back links.

Ahrefs.com and Moz.com/researchtools/ose are tools and Google Webmaster tools has some great features for this too.

Or You can also manually check backlinks in this way
Type site:"http://abc.com/" in google. It will show all internal or external backlinks.

This is an area where if you opt for a free alternative you're going to get sub par results. It's really worth it to get yourself a paid AHrefs subscription. It will make your life a lot easier.

You can simply type the URL in the Google and check where the Website link is placed on other websites.

If you want a desktop app use SEO Spyglas from Link-Assistant...

I prefer webmeup.com, opensiteexplorer and smallseotools for it.
