I know there are certain sites to look for when looking at keyword competition.

I was wondering if a YT video can out rank any of the following sites. Which ones yes and which ones NO

sorry if this list is kind of big but I will really appreciate the help

lifehack.org
howstuffwors.com
wikihow.com
dailyfinance.com
cosmopolitan
oprah.com
redbookmag.com
abcnews.go.com
entrepreneurs.about.com
forbes.com

Just wondering because I've seen these sites in some niches. Some more than others and I was curious to know if a youtube video can out rank any of these.

The question doesn't make since considering there's millions of keywords/pages spread out over all domains involved.

    Domains don't rank, pages rank.

    Hey,

From my experience, if you optimize your YT video properly with keywords and tags, you should have no problem ranking up near the top with these websites.

Keep in mind that a lot of the big websites actually pay their way to get ranked to the top so either way you can pay to rank, or if you really know what you're doing, you can still rank pretty high in SERPs with proper optimization alone.

As a tip, keep your YT videos short. . . as I have found that they rank quicker and better than longer videos.

    Hope this helps you out!

As Yukon said, pages rank, not domains.

That said, obviously pages on powerful domains can be more difficult to rank at times.

In answer to your question, yes, you will be able to outrank pages on the domains listed with a YT video.

How easy or difficult it will be depends entirely on how competitive the keywords are and how well optimized the pages in question are for those keywords.

Well certainly if I have a video on pet hamsters, and oprah has no such pages on hamsters...
that does not make me an SEO expert by saying that.....it's called, logic.

If you think you are going to outrank any of those sites, with anything, let alone a YT video,
it's wishful thinking. This in reference to pages that they do and do well.

How can I outrank abcnews with a video, unless I steal their video? This site outranks
them all for internet marketing. But how does me saying that the WF outranks oprah.com
      make any sense? It doesn't.

If a search requires a page, how is a video even in the mix?

I guess people do not realize that the majority of people looking for videos do those
      searches on youtube.

If you people are peddling SEO that tells a customer how easy is it to outrank
those sites with a piddly video, just because you optimize tags, description, etc.,
      man I pity your customers.
