Is StumbleUpon hurting my SERPs?

Okay, I'm a little worried here. Can anybody clarify the below with actual data or some sort of proof or at least experience, rather than speculations? Thank you.

People keep submitting a few of my articles to StumbleUpon on a massive scale, and it's absolutely killing my site's visit duration and bounce rate. It went from 6 minutes to 1 minute and from 45% BR to 83% and continues to grow over the past week. I've read that BR shouldn't be taken into account by Google's algorithms, and it does make sense that it wouldn't, but can anybody actually confirm this somehow? Is there any other way or reason why this constantly increasing BR would be hurting my SERPs?

And what can I do about it? There's no way I can prevent this, obviously.

Perhaps because the wrong people are clicking on your link, and therefore reaching your site and leaving quickly. Bounce rate shouldn't affect rankings because it doesn't determine how useful a site is.

For example, if a visitor searches for 'Justin Beiber age', lands on your site, and leaves because they've got the information they were looking for, it would be counted as a bounce by your site analytics tool, but that doesn't mean your site wasn't useful to the searcher.

You shouldn't be worried about your bounce rate with regard to your Googke rankings, but if you can't help but worry, you can focus on attracting the right kind of traffic to offset the effect of the stumbleupon traffic and lower your bounce rate.

Nowadays wikipedia pages are going down and webmd pages are promoted by google for health niches. Even though I still believe wikipedia pages are much better than webmd pages.

If you assume that it will hurt your rankings than remove the stumble from your share buttons.

There's no stumbleupon sharing option on my site. They just took the link and re-sharing it.

You are over-thinking this too much.
