Text vs Image Ads -> Which Pay More?

From what I understand, you will get a higher CTR from text Adsense Ads vs Images (since images screen ADVERTISEMENT!)

However which one (have you guys noticed) tends to payout higher?

I would assume image ads pay more due to the fact that designing etc. went into it vs just some ad copy words...

true or false?

Anyone comment on their own personal experiences?

  I can't vouch for this personally, but from what I've heard in AdWords discussions, you pay less for image ads.

Rate varies on various factors like Ad location, User location and the relevance of the Ad. This is something we can't know for sure.

It's depends upon so many factors my friend ie:Ad location,size of the image,etc.Users hate image ads,due to this lot's of users ignore it.But only if the images has a catchy words on it and definitely increases in a CTR.And obviously image ads pays more compare to text ads.

it;s hard to say. I test both on my blogs. But sometimes the CTR of image ads are higher than text.. I guess you just have to test on your own.
