Anyone done any research into link juice passed down from variations of the same backlink? For example, https :// and http ://, or www . and no www ., or index .html and relative url.

Edit: Not redirected, but separate pages, exactly same content.

  • If those separate pages are all indexed, they will all pass link juice onto your site in a depreciating manner. If they aren't all indexed, the indexed one will pass on a relatively sizable amount of link juice to your site.
  • You need to redirect the version of your website to one version, otherwise they will be considered duplicated pages.
