Web 2.0 Creation - Unrealistic?

Hey,

The amount of time it would take me to create a seperate blog, write good information and display it on the blog, aswell as setting up the pages, architecture etc, it would take masses of time, for what? One backlink?

How effective would this backlink be? How many Web 2.0's would one website need?

I am looking to get a couple of pages to the first page of google including 'keyword location' so for example... 'bed and breakfast bristol'.

How many Web 2.0's with tier 2 backlinks would need to be setup to get my site ranking on the first page?

Thanks.

How many balls can you fit in a room?

You need to look at how strong your competitors are, the strength of their backlinks and how optimised their page is for the keyword you're targeting.

The idea is to make these web 2.0 sites strong, and point them to your money site. The web 2.0 sites act as a buffer to protect the money site from penalty.

Another thing to bear in mind is that a site with backlinks solely from web 2.0 sites is unnatural. You might be able to get away with it if its an uncompetitive keyword, but anything competitive will require more than a few links pointing at the money site, when you get there, you'll need to sprinkle in some real domains as well.

For a real business like yours, I really would not bother with Web 2.0 sites much at all. They are barely going to help. You need rankings for geo-specific keywords. You should be focusing on business directories. Yelp, Foursquare, iBegin, Brownbook, MerchantCircle, Manta, YellowPages, etc. There are about 60 worthwhile ones in the U.S. Make sure you fill out a complete listing with each. Make sure you have your address on every page of your site. You also need a Google+ for Business page (or whatever they are calling it these days).

Real business don't really do the whole web 2.0 things. Most seo/internet marketers that do it, usually use cheaply paid VAs or automatic software to help speed the process along.

Web 20's are still very helpful, when used with a mixture of other ways to get your site out in the public eye. It's not all about backlinks anymore, it's about 'exposure'

You can't find out how many links you'll need. Sometimes your site will fail to rank well no matter how many links you build, sometimes it will rank well with only a few quality links. So just start building those links until your site ranks.

I need for low/mid competetive keyphrases from 40-60 web 2.0 sites /per anchor boosted in 2nd tier by GSA SER of course

Without any authority links pointing at that 2.0 it would be about as effective as a boat anchor on an airplane.
