Can you help with that question about SEO

Hi ALL

Could someone give me an idea about the best way to do it.

The thing is:
I've got an hosting account with their own domain name.
Now I want put up other no related site but I'm not sure how to go about it.

1} Create a folder in the mentioned hosting account get a domain from goddady
forward and mask the domain and in the adress bar it will show the domain
not the folder.

2} Purchase an hosting account for that domain name.

Now what I like to know is in terms of SEO,to have the domain listed,get good rank in
the search engines and get organic trafic,is it ok with a folder and forward or it is
better with a separate hosting account for that domain.

Please if someone know the best way let me know.

    This will depend on your hosting provider. I'm going to just assume you have a shared host like hostgator with cpanel.

    Generally you would:

    -Purchase domain from provider of your choice: godaddy, namecheap etc..
    -In your cpanel create an addon domain for that domain name.
    -In your welcome email from your hosting company they will have given you your nameservers.
    -There should be at least 2. they will look like: ns1.whateverhost.com, ns2.whateverhost.com
    -Give a few minutes for the DNS to resolve and you should be able to use your domain.

    There are some slight disadvantages to creating new sites via addon domains. But if you're just starting (I assume you are because of your question topic) I wouldn't worry too much about this. Just start putting out sites, get traffic. When it becomes necessary then you can always move off of your shared hosting to a VPS or dedicated server.

      The reason why I'm asking all this is because I want
      put the things right from the begining.

      If there is many disadvantages with the addon I'm thinking maybe go
      for a reseler account,this way could create individual sites.
