Pingler: A Ranking Machine?

I messaged Pingler about why they offer the ability to enter a keyword on top of the category, and they responded back that it was to help rank the site for that keyword. So they're not just about ringing robot dinner bells for new posts, but about KW rankings...

Seems awesome and simple to me. Any thoughts on Pingler?

    If by "awesome" you mean "awful".
    And when you say "ranking" you mean "tanking".

    It sounds like a +1 idea.



    Pinging links is just pure nonsense.

    Why would I ever need to let Google know about a "Good" link?. If it's a really good link, you can be sure Google will have crawled it, before I manage to paste it over to pinger.

      Pretty much. If you build SEO links with the intention of getting traffic, and having SEO as a side benefit, you can't go wrong with link building.

    That's pure nonsense. Pinging might help your links get crawled faster but won't increase your rankings.
