I am posting an article on my website and so with other social networks I am using like my blog, posting the same article on G+, fB, social bookmarking sites..
Wanna clear my concept on duplicate content. I have 2 questions:
1. The author is sharing its own article in its various social site. Won't it be considered as duplicate content?
2. What if other liked your article and shares the same. So how is it considered? A duplicate article....
#duplicate content

It's considered duplication because both articles are the same. To avoid duplicate content issues, share only the excerpt of the post with a link to the full post.

No, this shouldn't affect your rankings negatively at all. Social shares and repost are good for your site. That said I wouldn't use social bookmarking except the top sites. Blasting a post to 100s of bookmarking sites that no one reads is a waste of time. Google may not penalized you but it won't help your rankings either.

      Wrong again.

Duplicate content is the same content showing up repeatedly on the same site.

When it shows up on different sites, it is syndicated content. Syndicated content has a good chance of ending up with the supplemental search results. Google will likely only show the copy of the content they feel is most authoritative, although in some cases they will show the same content more than once.

You yourself said in point 1. that you are sharing not posting. So, it wont affect you in any way if you are sharing your content on different social platforms. Although if you have a blog on your website and you posted content on it and same content is posted by you on other blog lets say blogger or WordPress then it will be considered as duplicate. So change the content where you posted later.

And regarding your second point, i would say that you are talking silly. Ask yourself first, if you like someones article and shares it(not posting) then will it be considered duplicate? NO, not at all. As they are sharing what you have written so its only your content that is getting promoted. But, if they copy and paste on their blog or website then its duplicate. Sharing can never be treated as duplicate.
