Hello, so I submitted my site and site map to Google webmasters. At first Google indexed it and I could see my site on the Google index when I used the "site:" but now Google seems to have removed it from the index. There is no messages in Google webmasters or my email. What should I do?

Thanks,
Ryan

It's a new site less than 24 hours old, what do you expect?

New sites always bounce until Google algo. figures out where to rank the page/s.

Wait a few days, if there is no issue with your website, it should be indexed back, if it does not then I suppose something is wrong and you need to find out. Be patient and if your website does not get indexed, you can submit a reconsideration request through their webmaster tools.

What you should do is work on building backlinks. Go to fiverr and hire someone to do this for you. Don't worry about Google. Get backlinks to all your pages. Google will come back around and find your site again. What you saw is normal.

You should check for the beginning your site, your content. If everything is right(you haven't use duplicate content, some bad interlinking or exterlinking). You can continue with off site SEO only use only good links for promotion, relevant to your site and with high PR.

It takes time to get a permanent spot in Google & if you're serious about building up your ranks in the search engines I would start by using a good SEO service. This will let you know what the best keywords are & what your current rankings are. I read somewhere that unless you are in the Top 3 pages of Google you are losing about 80% of people that will actually spend money with your site.

I see this happen with YouTube videos as well.Sometimes new videos disappear from the Google index and the reappear.

I have no idea what the people in this thread are talking about. The OP stated

Unless there is a problem a site: search should show up in Google once its been indexed. There IS some kind of issue (but make sure you are entering your domain name correctly).

      +1

You sure robots.txt is not blocking Google spiders, right?

Yep. Odds are it's a content issue. Thin sites will get indexed then removed super fast. If you don't have enough unique content that could be your problem.

A new site can bounce in/out of the SERPs, it's not uncommon.

The site was 12 hours old as of the time/date of OP. Even a site: search isn't guaranteed to show results instantly. For all we know OP was still logged into a Google account the entire time.
