Why the number of backlink is so high?

I made only a few comments on apcmag.com using Disqus, but it shows 844 backlinks on webmaster tool! How is it possible? Can you explain it?

  • When you do blog comment spamming, sometimes your comment gets caught in one of those 'recent comments' widgets. If the crawlers come by at the same time, then your link shows on every page of the site until the next time they visit.

  • Better say until the next time the comments are being downranked by other comments, not the next time they visit as I know some blogs where such backlinks could be active for even months!
  • All blog commenting for links is spam in my opinion.

    Anyhow, the widget thing is the reason.
  • Just avoid blogs that use Disqus plug in, next time you are backlinking building from blogs. Not saying all these links would count against you, but it looks suspicious. As pointed out though, this is just a result of a widget misfiring.
  • I think apart from making the number of links, quality link is more important. It is good to make a quality backlinks, if you make 10 backlinks and 2 quality links then the quality backlinks generate traffic fastly as compared to 10 backlinks.
