Panda Affected Domain

I recently bought an .org domain on Godaddy, as .com and .net was already registered. I was in a hurry and bought it without any research. After a week or so, when I started to design and develop it, one of my assistant pointed out that the homepage is indexed on the Google along with some pages.

It suddenly clicked me that it would be expired domain. So, majestic SEO shows handful of backlinks and the website was based on local business when I saw it in web.archive.org. After some more research, it came out that it was panda affected domain. The below image is from Sistrix, which allows us to see whether the domain was affected with any Google update. It is nice little tool.

Since the penalty is from 2012 and even the domain was deleted or expired, I am in confusion whether to create a website on this domain or not.

As Panda was targeted towards thin content websites, is it wise to make an authority website on it "or"is that the domain penalty will affect my new website with fresh new content.

Would be glad to know some good suggestions for Kevin, Yukon, MikeFriedman, etc.

First of all, whatever this Sistrix tool is completely useless. There is no way for it to know if a site was impacted by Panda, Penguin, or much of anything else.

Second, if it was impacted by Panda, who cares? You are not recreating the same site.

Thanks for the helpful info. I was fearing that the penalty would follow my website.
