Are spam comments on my blog a good sign of traffic flow?

I've never been so lost with website building. I already have a website, it's about a year old. I made it so I could share how I went from skinny to muscular (fitfrek.com). My goal is to gain followers, but not spammers.

Most of, well 99% of my comments are spam. While I do get comments and questions about the stuff I write, they are usually made through Facebook or other social media networks.

Are spam comments a good sign of traffic flow? Or are they just made by one bot that continuously spam like a machine gun?

    • Delete the default comment section on your theme/site/HTML
    • Add the Facebook Iframe comment form where the old default HTML comments was located on your theme/site

Spam comments are not a good sign of traffic. They will mostly be made by people using automatic tools, not genuine visitors to your site.

U should not allow spam comments. Stay away from spam comments and also you may use a plugin to protect from spam comment.

All comments are spam. No reason for the average joe to allow them.

People use automated spamming tools. The only traffic you are getting is phantom
traffic. These people are not visiting your page, nor are they interested in visiting
      your page.

People speak out of both sides of their mouths here. Many deriding spam comments,
here, are the same ones who tout spamming links on blogs.

      Makes you wonder.

It is not a sign of traffic flow, most of these spam comments would be coming from programs, blog commenting scripts and software. Delete them and install an anti spam plugin. Better to develop it instead of redirecting it.

Once the website is indexed by Search Engines it`s on the radar of spammers cos they are using scrappers to scrape target sites to post on, so it`s normal, everyone experience that.

Spam comments will have negative effect in your site. Google says that the site owners are responsible the users generated spam contents in their site. So use spam blocking plugins and regularly moderate the comments to keep your site safe. If you are ranking within Top 100 for good keywords in competitive niche you will get lot of spam comments for sure.

I've often wondered why my sites keep getting this type of thing. I automatically spam all comments as they almost always seem to be from an unknown source, and completely unrelated to my site. I vote get rid of them all unless they're relevant.

No, no... It's bad thing for your page. If possible, don't allow spamming to comment on your blog. Get some genuine reviews.

You should be very careful with such.
You have to delete all them and clear all your pages.
It's bad sign, you can be penalized for this!
Traffic better to check with Google Analytics
