Google not indexing site

Hi,

Google doesn't seem to be indexing my site, I have added a sitemap, added the sitemap to robots.txt, made a webmaster tools account and initied a Fetch as Google.

When I do site:***URL***, only like 6 links appear?

I started this process 2 weeks ago.

  • I guess the only reason behind your web pages not indexed by Google is duplicate content. Google can easily detect duplicate content pages. An unorganized link structure can be another reason for your pages not getting indexed by search engines.

    • That is not true at all. Google indexes duplicate content ALL THE TIME.

  • Check the indexing stats in Webmaster Tools. See if there are any crawling errors.

    Also make sure you are not blocking Google in the robots.txt file and do not have pages set to noindex.
  • Check your website status on Google Webmaster Tools for any mistake you made while coding the site.

    Are you sure you have submitted your sitemap correctly?

    Also check whether there is an error in your robots.txt or not
  • Unless I am reading this wrong your site is indexed and you are talking about pages not being indexed not the site
