Any issue with a paragraph or two of the blog posts on the blog section of the website before clicking read more? Could this be a duplicate content issue with Google or would it recognize the set up for a blog section?

Thanks

Just make sure you are using canonical tags, and you will be fine.

Cool. I'm not even sure if I'm using them or not, or if it is automatic om Shopify's platform but I'll check it out.

Yes, use the canonical tag. For example, if you have so many duplicate pages, but with the help of canonical tag Google will consider only canonical tag page so it will solve your problem.

Google owns Blogger.com, so you would think they understand what a 'blog snippet' is and won't penalize you for a few repeated words on your home page. This content is likely to change regularly as you publish more content. Another reason to use blog snippets on the home page of your blog is how it serves the reader's interest better. And, Google is all about helping the site user, maybe more so than the blogger/site owner.

Use Canonical tag in your blog that Google not consider any duplicate page so this is easy for you.
