Back link checker

Looking to get something to check back links etc..

I know there is

ahrefs
Majestic
moz
seo spyglass?

I am looking for something that is low cost. Reason being is I may use this a few times here and there. mostly for myself. If I was going to start making money online or do affiliate stuff I would probably buy all of them

With low budget in mid what is a good choice? I know this has been discussed before a lot and hated to start a new thread, but wanted some honest opinions..

Any others? Not sure about some of the free ones.. I mainly want this to help me maybe find what some of my competition is doing and to be able to get some good back link ideas.

Spyglass will show you 1,100 links on the free version. So, take that 1.1K links x multiple competition sites, sort data & hand pick the strongest links. Repeat as needed.
  • Thanks Yukon..

Do you use their other tools? What are your thoughts?

I may end up spending the $125 for that.. Their other Powersuite tools look good also.

    • I can tell you LInk Assistant is pretty useless. The Rank Tracker is good, if you like a desktop solution. Website Auditor is fine if you have a lot of sites you need to audit or audit sites on a regular basis, otherwise it is pretty useless. That goes for any website auditor though. SpyGlass is the crown jewel in the pack, and with WebMeUp's backlink database getting bigger and bigger is becoming fairly useful.

Best solution if you are checking a lot of sites is to buy SpyGlass and get subscriptions to Majestic and Ahrefs. Then import all the links from Majestic and Ahrefs into SpyGlass for analysis.

That doesn't have anything to do with competition links. Besides WMT is very slow about updating data & only shows a very small percentage of known links.
  • Some back links checker tools.

    ahrefs
    Majestic
    moz
    99webtools
    Google webmaster tools
    Google analytic
  • Preferably Majestic is the best-est of All.
  • Currently I am using ahref but since you provide the alternative of it I am wager to trying the moz's. and want to see the difference between them.
  • webmaster dot com have a kind of tool you can check all your backlink there
  • Thanks guys...

I downloaded the free SEO power suite.

Man this is pretty detailed high powered stuff.

I may end up buying this stuff just to be able to keep my reports and comparisons.

Any discount codes anyone know of?

    • I have two licenses of SEO Spyglass I haven' used in close to a year. Their webmeup data was near worthless (missed too much). If its got substantially better I would love to know but it would have to Get MUCH better.
  • If you're willing to spend on the monthly subscription, tlahrefs has the biggest database, followed by majestic. I believe moz was running a promo with 3 free months or something like that, try searching for it.

    • You may better use Google analytic,or Google webmaster tools for the analyzing of backlinks.and this gives you more information in a perfect manner.
