New Domains vs old and dormant websites

I just found out recently after a week of testing and observation that new domains with fresh contents are faster to index than old websites that have been dormant for months even putting new content.

I have 2 old websites that haven't been updated since January. I decided to add more new contents, changed and fixed the themes, and updated everything including records at webmaster tools but after a week, both appearance on Google does not change. Google still shows old site names and descriptions with only older pages are visible.

On the other hand, I created another 3new websites with new contents during the same dates and after a week, all pages of all there websites are indexed and visible to Google.

I am not sure why this is happening but I am not giving-up with my old websites. I guess it will take more time to update google results.

What do you think?

You waited a whole week to get your new websites indexed?

Indexing is no longer an issue..legit takes 5mins for a page to get indexed with fetch as google.
Even making a post about it on g+ gets it indexed instantly.

Real question is, are you bringing in the traffic.

This is really not natural to show old site names and descriptions with your older pages.
What other browser are showing ?

That's why I am concerned. New sites are getting more traffic than older sites.
