  • It could be a number of things, what have you changed on the website recently?

It could be Google dance, or that you have been effected by an algorithm update.

You need to do some digging.
  • check your backlinks, if they are still working??? use majestic, moz or ahrefs tools....
  • What SEO have you used to get up? Black or white? If you bought SEO service from some king of guy, then there is a reason you got kicked, you should ask your service provider. And if you did it by yourself, then check your website BL, tags. Maybe you did something wrong to your website.
  • Your links are the problem, a bunch of crappy links and really not many quality links at all.

Are you sure you haven't received a penalty? Check webmaster tools to make sure. But at this time I'd say you need to rethink your link strategy.

Post new Penguin you will have some problems.
  • It could be your back links, I would add more content and build better back links.
  • jb49784, check again the webmaster guidelines https://support.google.com/webmaster...er/35769?hl=en. Perhaps you can verify the targeted keywords via Google Custom Search (https://www.google.com.my/cse/). See if your targeted keywords appear correctly from your sites on googlebot's view.

  • It could be that most of your backlinks didn't stick. I would check to see how many backlinks you have and compare.
  • If you have good ranking before two month and now your rank is going down.this may happen when Google penalized the website. SO, you may need to check the webmaster for penalty and also need to remove the back-links which are not related to your website.

  • google released new panda ....(25/9)
  • don't over optimize on-site. for backlinks, focus on diversity and provide values.
  • Most probably it has to do with the type of SEO that you used in the past.

I had a similar situation with a SEO package that I bought some time ago for a website that I had, it got the website rank higher for a month or two and then it drop back down.

I also noticed that 90% percent of those backlinks disappeared after two months. So I will recommend that you go for quality SEO whitehat than some blackhat or FIVER type of SEO.

Natural and relevant backlinks that stick for long time are the best. Anyway I been there too, done that and learned from my mistakes.
    Cheers

  • Just do your links manually a little by litte. Might take time but it works at least
  • May be your site hit by Google Panda 4.1 update.
  • first check your backlinks. it would be not good.thatswhy your site ranking drop day by day.. and you have to check the new Google ranking update..
  • sure this because of Google Panda updates and Penguin
  • I think you need to build some quality and relevant backlinks through guest blogging and forum commenting.
  • ya there was an google penquin update last week follow searching engine algorithm updates at
    searchengineland
these algorithm updates changes ranking and values to your url this would have affected you

    thanks
  • New websites do rank higher but then their position is readjusted. It has been explained by Matt Cutts as the search crawler find more and more about the topic it adjust its ranks.
