Checking quality of blog posts

Lately ive been writing blog posts and getting them posted on other sites. To check the quality of these sites I put the address in PageRank checker to see if lots of links are pointing to it. If its a high PR (3-6) but has no or little links to it I deem it as not good enough and dont go ahead with the post. Is this the right thing to conclude? On the other hand if its a good PR and has lots of links to it (and is a year old) I deem it ok. Is this a safe thing to do? Im in a very small local service industry where none of my competitors do seo.

  • If you have no competitors, this should work of course.. But, I am really curious why don't you post them in your website (or blog) and not doing guest blogging?
