I think one of your biggest hurdles would be the picture restrictions on IG. Especially since they require square sized photos and most memes you'll see are rectangular. If you can maintain quality...

My measuring stick for sequels is now 22 Jumpstreet and the Hangover 2. It's awesome if it's the former, horrible if the latter. I'd probably put Anchorman 2 somewhere in the middle.

Hashtags are a niche way of getting people to follow/look at something specific you've tweeted. I guess if you tweet something interesting enough to catch someone's eye, it spreads around virally.
