I stand corrected.

Regardless, 27.5% is still a big enough chunk of your traffic to require you to deal with IE issues when creating your site or fan page.

IE is not fully CSS standards compliant so you just need to test it in both browsers.

The facebook problem is if you have your code in a <style> block on the page instead of an external stylesheet.

Once you fix the HTML errors as per the W3C standard, it should look fine in both.

Any differances between rendering in Firefox and IE usually come down to the CSS.

I wouldn't recommend changing your HTML files so they can use PHP and still have a .html extension unless you had a very specific reason for it and knew what you were doing.
