i was recently denied as well, and i thought they were desperate for more affiliates since they just got rid of a lot of publishers recently.

yes, email marketing is still doable and is very profitable. just make sure when pursuing email marketing that you are not spamming, that can get you in some trouble. good luck.

yes, that does mean something. if you look at any heatmap of the google search you will see that the first page first result gets more than half of the visitors, if i remember correctly.
