Google does not show all you backlinks. Maybe it randomly did not show your backlinks from WF even if it's indexed. As long as the page is still in Google cache it's a backlink.

.com is the best. But as long as you are #1 for you brand when people search it you don't need to worry if people would get confused whether you domain is a .com/.info/org.
