I would suggest setting up DFP and start selling ad space on your site. Hit up buy/sell ads or media buy networks. You can try out sitescout for a smaller alternative to major ones like rubicon etc.

You would use the broader campaigns to test. Once done, you would then use that info to target and raise your bid. If you're targeting the US on a broad campaign, use $0.50 to $0.60. Leave it for 24...
