Facebook PPC can be very good if you do it right. I'm averaging .02-.04 per click across my campaigns for highly targeted traffic. Took me months to get to this level of understanding though.

PPC can certainly be profitable, and of course both can be used. However, one has to weigh the opportunity cost of PPC over SEO. Ranking #1 for a term will always be better than PPC. That's a fact....
