Don't import it via any PHP based script. Just use SSH like lordspace suggested, if you don't have access to it just place the DB in a non public area of your server via FTP and ask your host to...

Seems to me that your editor is stuck in HTML mode. This could also be caused by filepermission/ownership issues. Can you get your hosting provider to take a look into that?

Yeah, use Ajax. You will need to learn how to code though, there is no simple solution :). Look into jQuery's .load() method, it will be easier to use for beginners.

Hey you can simply fix this by opening up PHPMyAdmin and going into the wp_options table. There you will find entries for siteurl/home. You can edit those to be the correct domain.
