I believe that study show that Tuesday gets much better open rates than Friday. I know aweber had some stats on their blog that you might be able to find about different days and times of mailings.

Are you counting the weekend in the 5 days because most companies do not work on the weekend and they mean 3 business days. I would wait a couple days before sending an email to them.

If you want a long term and serious blog then go with selfhosted wordpress. Otherwise either blogger or wordpress.com is very quick to set up and should work fine.

If you try you can also get some steady SEO traffic to polls if you build a couple of content pages around it. It usaully is slow but it provide a decent steady flow.

The video is very very long and after you watch it you really don't feel compelled to read the page. The colors are also a bit unnatural and the spacing for some of the text is a bit weird.
