At times I can do it - but for the most bit - I need 6 hours of sleep minimum to function properly. Thus, I need to plan it right the night before to get adequate rest.

What Alexa said makes a lot of sense - but Broadscasts can work if its timely - i.e. You talk about something current and piggy back on...
