Thanks Emmanuel for this heads up. I will certainly try this for some client Joomla sites as they are always a pain to backup, move or restore. And I have, as yet, not found a simple solution.

Problem was solved today. It was not the plugins after all. The problem was with the database user permissions I used when I set up...

Not sure yet. I wasn't expecting any problems at all and am still not convinced that a pluin is the problem.

I am awaiting Jason or Wil to figure it out.

I can attest to the fact that it does clone widgets and their content. I have cloned several blogs with many widgets, using wptwin, and they came out perfectly. I was very pleased.

I took your advice Catherine and created a Squidoo lens. I have never done one before but it is about time I learned anyway. It need some work but I'll see how it goes. I'll work on the hub page...
