As I said, if you need the telephone request, don't remove it, just test a different opt-in. For example a link to a offer page where youe write some information and why you need the phone number...

If you're speaking of your last siganture link I know one reson why it doesn't convert: You have to put in your phone number. Many people are afraid of phone advertising if they hand out their phone...
