I think you're looking in the wrong places for advertising. Giving away little gifts isn't the way. You want people who need what you sell. Advertising in the local paper, by bartering your services...

The ice scrapers aren't a bad idea. Just don't use them to try to get referrals or leads. What business are you in? It may help in the suggestion department.
