I would change your header, optimize the images as they are big and slow to load. And yes, the optin is a turn off.
Just as an example, this image has 800KB and it judging by the size displayed...

Completely agree with sushiman on this that optin is going to lose you customers. Especially as all it does once filled in is take you to the sales page, personally I'd just add some buy now buttons...
