$5000 bucks, not too bad for a PR 1 site. However, that seems fairly low for a site making $1200 per month. The cost is only about 4 times the monthly income. Isn't 10 to 20 times more standard?

You can place your ads above the fold, but you can't push all of your content below the fold so that only the ads are visible. You also need to limit how many ads you put on each page.
