That is actually a good looking site.. As others have already mentioned, you need to spice up the looks.. I didn't like the background color of header and footer , try using red as it is associated...

I recommend to keep the width to 1024px, as many people still uses 1024px only. checkout the screen on 1024px resolution. you will see why I am saying that.
