Google will start to go downwards in the event that only big names will pop out in search engines.. because you can`t find everything you want on big websites, sometimes small ones have the cherry.

I think IMHO we will see a period of consolidation. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a string of buy outs on the horizon for a whole lot of little but profitable online services. Not e-commerce...

Personally I would not focus on seo, You can pay someone to do seo marketing for you but I think you need to focus on list building and getting an audience. Even if google updates knock your website...
