Re: Finally gone full time!

Yeah, this is a big one. The company I worked for made me sign an NDA, meaning I can't use them as examples, which is a huge shame because I did things with them that would probably convince anyone...

Re: should I use a 301 redirect?

It took a few weeks to be honest, it's a strange one though because we didnt expect the HP to plummet so far.

@kumar125 - are you suggesting a completely new domain to 301 to?

Re: should I use a 301 redirect?

Thats what happened to me - HP dropped out of the sky. Like I mentioned, a bit of clever internal linking seemed to bring it back, after a little bit of flux!

I take it the sub-page doesnt convert...

Re: should I use a 301 redirect?

Hi Mark,

Does the sub-page now rank in exactly the same position? Where does the HP now rank for the term?

My initial thought is not to 301 that page - is the content similar? Presuming its...

Re: how to bring keyword Ranking in first page

Depends on the KW and the competition as to the level of effort you will need to put in. In a competive niche, the backlinking methods you mentioned might not cut it. Perhaps you could provide some...

Re: Are Backlinks Important?

Backlinks still make up a large part of Googles algo. To rank in even the most mildly competitive niche, you will need a certain amount of incoming links, and quality ones at that.

Re: Any keywords left?

There's tons of KW's and I agree with Joe, there are not millions of good marketers. A lot of times it comes down to whether or not you are willing to put the effort in to go after a KW, rather than...

Re: The Google -950 Penalty?

My guess would be the overall quality of the site as well as the quality of the incoming links.

I agree Paul, HP only links are certainly the way forward if you want to buy. Also, perhaps try and...

Re: SEO Help! I need to get on the first page for a low competition term....please help

The .ca domain could be a small issue, but get some links flowing into it first and then have another look. Like Jeremy said, it should only take a few articles to get that motoring, no problem.

Re: SEO Appointment tomorrow - what is the best SEO analyzer tool to create a report?

I do them myself, takes a bit longer but you can make them much easier to understand. Some of the tools can get a bit technical for showing to prospects.

Re: Why Isn't My Client's Site Moving?

Re: Whats your adverage cold calling success rate?

Too many variables to really put your finger on, so it wouldn't really be an accurate number. I have found networking to be much more effective for this industry.

Re: Is It Really Okay to Email Small Business Owners?

Headfirst - great idea. I've started doing this recently and had some great results. 9 times out of 10 they agree to it and you've one foot in the door (almost!).
