Re: Only For Copywriters That Do Email Campaigns

If you ever come across a VSL (and believe me, they're much, much longer than 2 minutes), and you don't have the time to sit through a 25 - 45 minute presentation, go to the tab with your cursor...

Re: Brutalize my landing page

Re: Copywriters soon to go the way of toll both collectors!

Short answers: no. Don't worry about it.

Sure. A software program might work if you want to sound like every other bland company out there... if you don't want to clearly and persuasively...

Re: To the best copywriters on the forum

I lurk on the boards but had to respond because quite frankly, you're headed for major frustration with your expectations.

Re: Hey Bad Ass Copywriters, What Is a Good Subject Line?

Two people I pay attention to in my email inbox is Matt Furey and Ben Settle. Both are great at creating email headers that get attention. Furey sells exercise and health info products. Settle sells...

Re: Need help: getting a past due client to pay up

You know, I was leaning toward the advice that said "live and learn," but after that comment? Sue him. The contract was clear. He's using the copy. And he pretty much blatantly told you to sod off.

Re: What are some ways you go about finding Facts and Statistics to use for proof elements?

I like the Pew Research Center:

Pew Research Center (

They have a good mix of categories. You may be able to find some stats there.

Re: Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions? Really Appreciated

Here are a few thoughts:

1. A "Our Services" page is a place to list your services. Anyone who clicks on that navigational tab is expecting to see a clearly defined menu of services. Not a sales...

Re: New Scientific Evidence Supports Copying Sales Letters by Hand

I liken it to priming the pump. Your brain gets used to a certain flow of words, patterns, rhythms. After "training" the brain in this way, it would seem easier for the creative juices to naturally...

Re: Graphic banner or Text banner?

I agree with Thomas. I'd definitely test but you may be surprised. I think people are more suspicious of photos than they used to be, ever since they realized how much photographs can be manipulated...

Re: In which areas does a marketer need the most help with copy?

I'm in marketing. I'd say a HUGE area of need for marketers is writing powerful web copy. I've seen many business web sites that had the most boring copy around. It was filled with "business-speak"...
