Sounds good, but how can you tell if a competitor is doing good or killing it in the niche?

What criterion do you use?

We do not have access to a competitors statistics. So we really cannot...

A) GEO1 $50 spent 5 conversions
B) GEO2 $50 spent 3 conversions

I recommend you to split test your ads.
Try different keywords with different snippets. Then check your stats. Try to optimize the ad that worked best and again try to split test with small changes....
