You do not need to change your niche. You can just target better keywords and as another person has said, do blog posting along with many other things such as social bookmarking and blog commenting....

I would recommend that you choose one niche and work on it until you are profitable. Don't spread yourself too thin at the start or you will get overwhelmed!

Depends what you want to achieve. If your current site is still not working effectively and profitably for you, concentrate on that first and then move on.
