Here's how you do it:

In 1shoppingcart, in the product options window under "Page navigation", set the "Thank you URL' for the Upsell as the registration link for the appropriate membership level...

It's all about results. When a copywriter doesn't get the copy in on time -- results suffer. When copy doesn't "resonate" -- results suffer.
