Main thing you want to measure if spend vs revenue for each particular target. General rule of thumb is if spend exceeds 3x a conversion value, then optimize it off.

Go with 2 domains. Buy even those cheap ones for squeeze page try not to use keywords that are from your campaign. Example: diet in url or this might pop competitiors campaigns on your.

Keywords are great for niche/categorically targetting things.
URLs are good for the above as well as demographic targetting, which is really where the money is at.

You can try and find a very similar product to your the one you are planning to promote and type that products url into either quantcast or alexa to find existing demographic data.

It really depends on how much traffic the URL's get.. I'll start with 30-40 and see if the traffic comes in, if it comes in too fast, i'll pause a few, if it comes in too slow i'll add another 10-15..

The problem with 30-50 URLs is that they won't bring in much traffic. You're probably talking about a few views a day unless you are targeting HUGE sites.
