I would also stay with 2-3% keyword density. But BWHadam is right, try writing for people in the first place.

Also don't forget to use images in your article and use your keyword in image name...

Don't forget that you should NOT use your main or even your secondary keywords as an anchor text. Also, write natural and useful comments just like it's your own blog! ;)
