Honestly, a lot of these backlink companies that claim a unique pattern are using a link network, usually a massive one. Even if it's private, it's still potentially vulnerable to Google's algorithm....

If you're looking into affiliate marketing, you can push users directly through your affiliate link socially or textually on 3rd party sites (web 2.0 sites, etc.)
