.coms are 'not' always better than .nets

If you can get the exact domain you want as a .com, then yeah go for it; if you can't, .net is PERFECTLY fine.

I too, rank well, with .infos. I do choose the .com if I can get the exact URL I want, but if not I will roll w/a .info and I'm doing just fine with them...and outranking some .coms so I disagree...

Use Yahoo to check backlinks, not Google.

You can submit to sites like Digg, StumbleUpon and set up backlinks on other sites that get crawled frequently to get picked up faster.

YES you can get traffic but at least equally as important is BUILDING LINKS with feeds, I always submit my own RSS feeds all over the place, even mash them up...
